Sometimes I feel like all I do is work my ass off while others all around me are enjoying life and having fun. There are times I start to have a pity party like why not me? Why do some people seem to have it so easy? What did they do differently? What did I do wrong? Well, I am sure some married into it, some inherited it, and some just got lucky, but the truth of the matter is, plain and simple, many were determined, persistent and had a vision. They had the mind set of never giving up, believing and staying positive. And, they worked hard to get to where they are.
Although things feel really hard for me right now and all the things I want out of life I can see right in front of me, clear as day, even though I can’t touch them (just yet), I know deep down that if I keep my vision, I continue to work hard, without any intention on giving up, I stay focused on believing that I will achieve my goals, then I know that not only can I do it, I will.
It is easy to throw in the towel when you feel like you have given something all you’ve got and you are not seeing the results as quickly as you’d like. But, my mentors will tell you, don’t do it. Don’t throw in that towel today, because tomorrow you could turn that one corner that will change your life forever. It will happen if you keep moving yourself forward, so don’t give up your chance for all that you worked for and deserve by giving up one day too early. You have nothing to lose to keep going because tomorrow is going to come anyway and you will either wake up going after your goals and eventually achieving them or you will wake up and throw in the towel and stay exactly where you are which is where you don’t want to be. So, what will you choose?
Do you have dreams like me? Do believe there is more to life than just making someone else rich? Do you want to keep working those 40+ hours to get paid for 40 or do you want to have control of your own destiny while helping others reach their dreams too? Even though there are days I feel like I am running up hill and I don’t know if I have it in me, Eric and my future and our dreams are too important for me to stop. I am going to keep going until I cross that finish line. Just like running, it’s not how fast you go that is important, it’s keeping in motion that counts. Eventually you will turn that corner and see the finish line.
Start a new you!
